A Message from Our Superintendent

Dear Families and Community Members,

It is my honor and privilege to serve as the superintendent of schools for the Ralph C. Mahar Regional and School Union 73 District. We welcome you to our superintendency union, which serves four local communities of Orange, Petersham, New Salem, and Wendell, Massachusetts.

Our work is focused on understanding every child's strengths and challenges, personalizing their learning for lifelong success. Our staff is dedicated to meeting students’ academic, social, and emotional learning. We encourage open and honest communication between the schools and our families, always keeping what is in every student's best interest at the center of decision-making. 

As a school union, we value the personal relationships between students, their families, the schools, and the community. Many school-based experiences bring families into the learning experience, and others bring families and staff together to create a stronger community.
